It's 4:40 p.m. and do you know what you are fixing for dinner tonight?

I must say I love to cook and I enjoy baking too. I am thankful that our house came with a nice dishwasher to help with the clean up process.
Yet, there are times when I struggle to decide what to fix . . . cooking cramp??
Anyway, my question to you all is what are you fixing for dinner tonight?
If you are reading this after dinner, feel free to tell what you had for dinner. If you are too embarrassed to admit what you put on the table tell what you are going to tomorrow night. . .
Anyway, for our family I just put chicken in the oven with some lemon seasoning (it's new so we'll see if it is any good) and potatoes (baked separately.)
I am planning on making a salad if I don't run out of time. . .
Just curious about your dinner plans.
I sometimes ask Adam what he wants for dinner. He usually replies with whatever you fix I'll eat, but that doesn't mean he will always LIKE whatever I fix. . .
"I feel like chicken tonight, like chicken tonight . . ."
Hope you enjoy your dinner!

I just enjoyed your slide shows! Thanks! I know it is hard when the event has passed a long time ago to post about it, but we enjoy it and I do the same thing (and I don't even have a youngster that I have to monitor).

Okay, I must first explain that Don's work schedule is very tough to work around. Some days he is home at 3:30 (not very often), others he is home at 9. So how does a woman work around that! =) Tonight, my plans are . . . IF he gets home at a decent time . . . will be having the traditional spahgetti (sp?). I opened a jar of sauce to make pizza burgers for one of our late night dinners last week, and will use the rest tonight. I have received some garden veggies from our neighbors and thought I would place that in a salad. Then I make a garlic bread that has mozerella cheese, garlic salt, butter, and oregano to go with the pasta dishes.

Voila . . . The Hines' Dinner for Tonight!

chicken with summer squash, carrots, and zucchini all stir fried together in chicken broth. I could eat cups and cups of the stuff. :-) Of course, I try to restrain myself...

Ha - well...no chicken for us ;) LOL...though Tim would LUV it. We had whole wheat spaghetti with sauteed zucchini/fresh tomatoes/onion along with sliced tomatoes...uh - and I cut my thumb - really sliced it good - so, might have had something extra along with it all ;) ewwwwwww okay - enough of that. And fresh grated parmesean cheese over it all. Now - the only thing that would make it special would be to have WOW COW for dessert!!!

We had a night out tonight so we feasted on McChicken sandwiches. :)

Tomorrow night though I plan to broil a few pork chops, do mashed potatoes (with sour cream and cream cheese - yummy!), steam some fresh green beans and then toss with lemon juice and dill. If I'm really motivated I'll bake some homemade bread in the afternoon. But, lately nap time has been more desirable to me than bread-baking.

how'd your chicken turn out?

I was incredibly disappointed with our dinner tonight. It was a Taco casserole, and since I love tacos and casseroles I thought this is great. Well it turned out to be just glorified nachos. Not my idea of a well balanced meal. I don't know what I was thinking when I was looking at the recipe. Oh well, the girls liked it.
