Poison Control Center 1-800-222-1222

Yep, I called it today, and I must tell you it is not the first time in the past 16 months. Today Audrey decided to try out our house plant, by tasting it. I found some wet pieces by the plant. Evidently, it was poisonous, but only if you eat large amounts. I'm sure she didn't do that. . . Then the poor little thing was sleeping peacefully, and the doorbell rings, which also means Ezzy, our dog goes crazy (that is why we have her, great intimidation factor). Long story short I ended up calling the Non-emergency line of our police station because these people that were being, how should I put this nicely, disturbing and annoying. Wow this all happened by 12:30. I'm not sure I can take anymore poison control and the police, how often do you call them, let alone all in one day?
I will say the poison control people are so very helpful and sweet. I mean they are so patient and they take there job personally. Both times I have called the person has told me "My name is ____ and I'll be here til ____, if you have any questions, please feel free to call me back." They get kudos from me!!
Also, you know you live in a small town when the police chief shows up at your door to help solve a problem. I guess to sell stuff door to door you have to have a permit. Who knew?? I'm glad I do now! So if you come to sell me something beware. . .
After all the excitement this afternoon Audrey and I headed to the park to enjoy the sunshine, it was in the upper 50's today!! Certainly didn't feel like the middle of November. Here are a few pictures of my very busy 16 month little girl! She must get it from her father!
