Vacation Nightmare!! Not to be read by those who have weak stomachs!

Friday in Texas!
Warning! Settle in with your cup of coffee/tea, this story is little long!!
Last Monday we left to go see Adam's dad in Texas. We were really excited to get to see him and his wife as well as Adam's grandparents. Unfortunately, it turned out to be the worst vacation ever!
It all started upon our arrival at Adam's dad's house, Audrey seemed to be out or sorts, but no big deal, we thought she was just tired from the long flight. Well, within in an hour she threw up. Even then, I thought no big deal, she's just ate something bad. . . well an hour went by and she threw up again. I wish I would had a camera shot of Adam and I as we jumped out of bed when heard her starting to get sick in the pack n play at the end of the bed. It was just the start of a very long night. Adam and I took turns holding her throughout the night and we lost count of how many times she got sick. It was not pretty sight. The morning came, no fever and she seemed better. She took two good naps; so we thought she on the mend, although her diapers weren't so pretty, if you know what I mean:-( Adam's grandparents came over for dinner. His grandfather is actually on chemo for colon cancer and we were really glad to get to see him; and introduce Audrey to him for the first time. It was a nice evening overall; Audrey even slept through the night, what a blessing! The next morning (Wednesday)I gave her some diluted apple juice, she threw it up, but then she ate about half of a bowl oatmeal. Things seemed to be looking better. I was cleaning up her breakfast dishes and Audrey was sitting on the floor. The next thing I know Audrey was having a seizure on the floor! The rest of the morning was all a blur. We called 911 and she and I were rushed by ambulance to the nearest children's hospital. It was such a scary time! She did stop breathing for a few seconds during the seizure and that seemed like eternity!! Once we got to the E.R. she seemed to be exhausted but coming back to her normal self. We were told that she had a Febrile Seizure, Dehydrated, Ear Infection, and Diaper Rash. They gave her fluids and after we were sent home. It was very scary because we were afraid to leave her alone, what if she would seizure during the night?? That night, Adam decided to sleep on the floor next to the pack n play to keep an eye on her. Meanwhile, I became sick and starting throwing up, several times through out the night. I guess I became so weak that at 3:30 I passed out two times. Praise the Lord for Adam being there to help me. If things couldn't get any worse, Adam started throwing up at about 5:30. By Thursday morning we were both miserable and weak. Adam's dad started feeling sick on Thursday too. Elizabeth, Adam's dad's wife was the only one well, and was a huge help with Audrey. We rested and tried to eat and gain our strength back. On Friday we visited Adam's uncle and looked around a little, but we were all still so weak. Saturday we headed home! I wish the story ended there but more problems came. When got to the airport while unloading our bags, Adam's backpack (with his laptop) fell out of the Jeep onto the cement and cracked the screen; from what we can tell that is going to be a costly fix. . . Then on our last flight about and hour before landing, Audrey threw up all over me. . .Need I say more?? What a mess. We were so happy to get home. We didn't care that is was in the single digits when we landed. I told Adam that I wanted to kiss our house when we finally arrived home at 2:30 a.m. on Sunday morning. He told me not to since my lips my freeze to the house; he had a good point, so I refrained.
As for Audrey we took her to her pediatrician's office on Monday. They did a full evaluation of her and don't seem to think that she had a Febrile Seizure, after all we don't think she had a fever when she had the seizure, although her temp was 99 at the hospital. The doctor doesn't think that she will ever have a seizure again and that she is normal, whatever that means.Tuesday we went to the hospital where they did an EEG test to make sure that nothing else comes up.
Please pray as we wait for the results of that test. We are praying that the doctor will see anything that may be wrong. We have a follow up appointment next Thursday, although I'm hoping to call sooner to check on the results.
I guess you can have a seizures for no known reason. . . Only the Lord knows why. . .
Oh, and Adam's grandfather got the virus too and had to have an IV because he was dehydrated. Adam's dad was in the hospital til today, he had a kidney stone; they did "blast" the stone today and I think he should be going home today.
What a rough week!! We were stretched and looked to the Lord. He alone gave us the strength to go through the week. We are thankful, that He will never leave us nor forsake us.

We did have a good thing happen yesterday. Audrey is thankful for a healthy baby cousin!Jenna Rae Parris (Adam's sister, Sarah had a baby)was born yesterday afternoon!!

I'm glad everything looks good now. Hope this will be the last seizure. Titus has a heart murmer and will have to have further test when he is three if it is still there.

Wow! I heard when bad things come they tend to come in three's (for some odd reason), I think you are all caught up for quite a while since there was definitely more than three not-little adventures that the Lord graciously gave and relieved you guys of! We will be praying for Audrey's results - that all would be normal and that you would continue to have health. What a horrible, no good, very bad, aweful vacation!

I commented earlier, but don't see it here now!

Anyways, we too, are glad Audrey is better, even though Esther still wants to pray for her everyday b/c 'Audrey's sick'.

Glad you guys got home safely and praying the tests come back okay.
