"Super" Week

This a picture of our house from last winter, but for now it is the only one I can find. Hopefully, I can dig up a better one. . .
Well, with all the "Super" things going in the nation; our family was having some "super" things happening to us, that only God can get the glory for.
Since the economy has been rather poor (specifically high gas prices)as of late, Adam and I had been praying about putting our house up for sale so that we could move closer to the church. We live about 16 miles/ 20 minutes from the church as often as we travel there, gas is killing us. We looked at homes closer to church, but kept coming back to the fact that we would have to sell our house first. In this economy with it being a "buyer's market" we didn't think we would have much hope selling. We meet with a great realtor in December; and we prayed more. We came to the conclusion we would put our house up for sale come January 1st, for sale by owner, then if it didn't sell we'd go with a realtor in the spring. Well, as you can tell our lives have been a bit busy with all that has gone on with Audrey and many other things the sign didn't go up til Tuesday, January 29th. We had prayed about it and we decided it was time to go ahead; we put up the sign and intended on putting it on Craig's List and other internet sources, etc., Bottom line we never did any other publicity besides a sign in our front and side yard. Two days later on Thursday, we got our first call on the house, they wanted to come see the house on Friday. I worked really hard to get house as clean as I could and we showed it. I thought these people don't like it and that would be in the end of it. . . Well, Saturday they called and made an offer, it was low but I was shocked they had made an offer. . . Saturday night we countered their offer. Monday we finally came to a verbal agreement!! Today, Wednesday, we signed a purchase agreement we and should close on or before March 1st. After we close we will have 30 days to get out. I feel just a little pressure to get packing! A friend of our said "if you put a house for sale, you never know it just might sell." I guess he was right.
Ok, so I have not packed a single box, and I realy am not sure where to start!!
We have looked at another house and are praying that the Lord will grant us wisdom. We are certanily taking it one day at a time! We will look at two more houses tomorrow (in case the one we have our eye on now falls through), and wait to hear back on the first house.
I have gone through a variety of emotions through this past week. We love our house/ neighborhood, etc., we (me esp.) hate to leave it. After all this is our first house and it is the only house Audrey has known. I have to look to the Lord and to trust that He has something far better in store for us. The one thing Adam and I have reminded ourselves about is we have spent a lot of time in prayer, and God has clearly and quickly answered. Who am I to worry about the future when I serve an Awesome God who loves me more than I can understand?
We will keep you updated as this adventure progresses. Oh and if anyone wants to come help me pack. I love the help (too bad all my blogging friends are spread across the world!)We would appreciate your prayers as we seek to make some major decisions in the coming days!!
Better go for now, not sure what I'm going to go do, but I'm sure I should be doing something:-)

That is great!! I saw your new status on facebook and wondered what was going on . . . this makes more sense! I'm excited for you, but also sad as well. Don and I are still living in our "first home" and have mixed feelings about moving. Can't wait to see what house the Lord provides for you guys! I want to see pics when the time comes! =)
