Words

What a cute little girl! Never a dull moment at our house!
I was just thinking this morning how many words Audrey is saying. I am amazed at the things she comes of with. She is really into repeating what I say. When I hear words coming out of her mouth, I think twice about my word choice. Dont' get me wrong I'm not saying bad words, but are my words best?? I had someone ask me just this past weekend what words she does say; it took me a while to think of all of them. So, I decided I would post some of the things that I hear each day! Not all words sound as clear to others as they do to Adam and I, so I also added how it sounds!

Mommy
Daddy
Audrey- Audey
Doggy- oggey
Ezzie (our dog)- Essie
Light- lali
Nanna- (my mom)
Poppa- sometimes in a whisper (my dad taught her to say it that way?)
Hungry- hungy
Pacy
Baby- with the sign
Please- pese
Cheese
Thank you-dado
All done
Amen- sounds more like all done??
Happy
BIBLE!- especially when we sing the B-I-B-L-E, but all books are Bibles to her
Church- churchee
Tickle- not sure how to describe this one??
Esther- Estee
Gramma- amma
Cookie
Eye
Mouth- mou
Nose
Toes-toesies
Sock
Shoes
UhOh
Three-(we say one, two, and she says "free" and Adam takes off on a horsey ride)
Horsey
Duck
Hi
Byebye
She also "roars" like a lion

Monday's new words:
Boy
Movie

So, my question to you all is how is your word choice?? Some of you do have ears that repeat all that you say. How do our words sound to those that are listening? Isn't it amazing how thing sound different when you are not the one speaking the words?
How do they sound to our Savior?? Are they pleasing to HIM?

Addendum to Last Post

Sorry, after Adam read my post, I think my words didn't show what I meant!! I DO like the pictures posted below. I was just disappointed at how many pictures (over 100) that so few turned out. By the way, we had ours Christmas Card/Picture sent to Wal-mart instead of 1 hour photo. We saved money and the pictures are already ready (we ordered them on Saturday night and they were supposed to be here between next Friday-Tuesday). I think we'll do this method more often!

Christmas Card Picture

Well the the Open House went smoothly, no major problems. I did forget on cookie in the fridge. No big deal, I took them to a church social last night and came home with an empty plate!
Audrey is teething like crazy and thus we have had several rough nights. I am more thankful for the nights she sleeps 8-8! She ran a fever Saturday night, thus no church for us Sunday morning. She was feeling better so we went last night. I think the worst part of this is her runny nose, it never seems to stop. We are hoping this junk will go away soon!!
I finally got our Christmas Card Picture on Saturday. They turned out OK. Audrey is in a no smile when a camera comes out mode, so we took many pictures that didn't work. Here are the few we liked. The family one is the one we are sending out. A girl in high school that goes to our church is really into photography, and she would like to do children's photography when she grows up. Well, Audrey gave her a good taste of what she can look forward to. Audrey played with Sarah and was having a great time, until we went to do the pictures! It was nice to know that she at least knew Audrey does really smile, when she wants to:-)
Enjoy the pictures!

Sippy Cup Help!!

Ok so I need cleaning help! How do you get your children's sippy cups clean? I don't know about you, but it seems that no matter how hard I try, I can't get them clean! I looked up online some ideas and some are things I have tried. Let me know if you use on of these methods or if you have another tried and true method.

Boiling
Scrub with bottle brush or toothbrush
Use a Q-tip, toothpick, knife or fork
Soak in bleach, vinegar, baking soda, or denture cleaner??
(the last one I have not tried but sounds intereting . . .)

Also what kind of sippy do you prefer? Playtex, Nuby, or some other brand?

I am very interested your thoughts! I'm sure you all have different opinions, so let me hear them!!

And NO Audrey has not yet tried Starbucks Coffee; she doesn't need any help in the energy department!

To all my faithful readers, let me explain!

Above is a picture of our Open House last year, I'll get to that in a minute.
Ok, so it has been a very long time since I posted. I had high aspirations of putting a recipe on here since I was tagged, but it sits, unposted. I also planned on posting pictures of Thanksgiving and my visit to the Statue of Liberty. . .well you can look on the Shannon's blog for that. I think we work well together I take pictures, she posts them!
Well, I got back from NJ last week and I have been turned my kitchen into a bakery zone. This Friday night I am helping host a cookie open house for our church family at the Coley's (our senior pastor) house. So I have 12 different recipes I am working on; I thought I would at least let you know what cookies I am making this year. Maybe it will make you hungry to make some cookies yourself!

Done:
Kris Kringles (Cookie dough covered cherry with a choc. chip inside)
Mint Chocolate Snaps
Molasses Crinkles (making pumpkin dip to go with them)
No Bakes
Mocha Shortbread

To Do:
Snickerdoodles (in fridge to be baked)
Chocolate Chip (Adam will make his special recipe)
Gingerbread Family
Peanut Butter with a Kiss
Macaroon
Russian Tea Cakes
Oatmeal Raisin

So which would you try if you came to our open house?
Leesa makes other types (i.e. Sugar Cookies)too so we have more than listed . . .
Any cookie that you like that I didn't mention?

Hopeful posts to come:
